La Trinidad, Costa Rica
The small school of The Trinidad, situated in the North of Costa Rica, shelters since August, 2000, a reforested plot of land on the initiative of the pupils. Supported by the researchers of the Biological Station called "La Selva", young pupils learn every day more about the work of the scientists and learn to stay up their new forest: they control daily the environmental parameters and follow conscientiously the growth of the trees. Courses of plant biology also come to perfect their initiation. The pupils so become aware as the forest life and spread in their contact. An original operation which aims at making sensitive the young generations in the conservation of natural resources by involving them, such as real budding young scientists!
