2011 is classified as "International Year of the Forest " by the United Nations. This initiative is intended to enhance the awareness of citizens about the importance of preserving biodiversity and raise awareness on conservation projects undertaken by communities, governments and associations. 2011 has to be the year of the forest!
To act in this direction, Exode tropical participate in the creation of scientific, naturalistic and photographic exhibitions. The association offers activities, workshops and lectures for the general public and schoolchildren. Our actions aim especially to transmit to the public the necessary notions to understand the environmental issues related to the tropical ecosystems.
Project "The chameleon and its habitat" (2005-2006)
- Photographic exhibition et conferences on the tropical forests of Madagascar (France);
- School interventions in primary schools and middle schools on the tropical biodiversity (France).
Project "Temple of the ecotourism " (2007-2009)
- Creation of the website and on-line publishing (photo gallery, educative sheets);
- Diffusion on magazines and on internet ;
- Writing of a travel story on the observation and the photography in rain forest ;
- Participation to the International Festival of the Animal Photography and Nature of Montier in Der (in November, 2008) : photographic exhibition " Zoom on the fauna of Costa Rica ", school interventions and conferences.
Project " Mayas of yesterday and today " and "Laboratory of the evolution"
- Exhibition " Heading for the rain forests of America ";
- Video documentary and several short films;
- Participation to the International Festival of the Animal Photography and Nature of Montier in Der (in November, 2010). Exhibition "Tropical America ", school interventions and conferences.
